Aftercare advice
Waxing aftercare
A little soreness, small bumps or redness is completely normal and usually settles within 24–48 hours. Here’s how to look after your skin while it recovers.
For the first 24–48 hours, please avoid
- Hot baths or showers — cool to lukewarm water only
- Saunas, hot tubs, massage and steam treatments
- Tanning of any kind — sunbathing, sunbeds and fake tan
- Exercise, sport and gym work
- Chlorinated swimming pools
- Touching the waxed area with unwashed hands
- Deodorants, body sprays, powders and lotions on the area (unless recommended)
- Tight clothing — wear something loose and clean instead
Helping your skin heal
Apply a soothing antiseptic cream regularly for the first 3 days. After that, a little baby oil or E45 lotion after bathing — and a daily moisturise — keeps skin supple and supports healthy regrowth.
Preventing ingrown hairs
A few days after your treatment, start dry exfoliation 2–3 times a week: gently brush the waxed area with a dry brush or mitt just before showering.
Keeping it smooth
Hair needs at least 3–4 weeks of growth to be removed successfully, so please avoid shaving between appointments — it disrupts the growth cycle. The best results come after around 4 treatments, with regular waxing every 4–6 weeks.
